16” tall x 17” dia. Hand dyed handwoven cotton fabric, dyed maple plywood. I paint dye onto the warp threads before weaving it into fabric. That’s how I get all those colors in there. The maple plywood legs unscrew from the base so the whole thing can be flat packed for shipping. That means there is some assembly required if one is shipped to you. The horizontal stripes on the legs are a result of cutting an angle into the face of the plywood, revealing the laminations as stripes. This tuffet’s legs used to be dark grey but I decided I wanted to see more color in this piece. So I sanded off the dark grey dye and re-dyed them red violet. Charlie is much sassier now. The row of upholstery tacks around the edge were hammered in place by yours truly.

The Charlie Tuffet is a limited edition of three. This is the last one available. And the only one of the three that has red violet legs.
